Even as a child, I had something about CLOTHSPINS even as a child, I found them unsettling. In this sculpture, this object becomes the embodiement of a force - I dont know if it's good or bad, but it's definitely effective - that most parents can identify with: the force to carry on, no matter what. Wake up start again,  the force to continue, whatever. Wake up, start again, not for any good philosophical or existential reason, but for a very simple, one might say mechanical reason: wet clothes need to dry, food needs to be cooked.
