Ceramic Festival

Hey! So this weekend I'm attending a 'Ceramic Meeting' organized by ceramists living and working in my area in Brittany, France. I'm really happy about this opportunity to meet these people, as I am very good to be just by myself and I don't seek out the company of other artists or ceramists even if they live near me. I need this extra push.

This festival used to exist, but it hasn't been held in the last two years. And since I was only creating at home and mostly with my young children, I've never been there. I've heard good things about it. So it's really great that they've restarted this festival, and I'm happy to go see it, and even happier to be a part of it.

This is my first time attending an event dedicated to ceramics. I have mixed feelings about it. I'm not really a ceramicist, I guess. I consider myself a sculptor who works with ceramics. But my knowledge of ceramics is just not enough to be a ceramicist. So sometimes I have this imposter syndrome, but it's mostly forced on me, when people hear that I work with ceramics, they usually assume that I know the material. But no. Not really. I'm more interested in ideas and forms than the material, and after I "débouille" as the French say, I just manage to create what I want (or not hehe). I wonder how I'll feel in this new environment.
All in all if you are close to Morlaix, Brittany, France, come have a look, drink a coffe and say hi to me! :)
